THE DOST - ITDI ONLINE PAYMENT
The Industrial Technology Development Institute is now cashless capable in it's technical service offerings, which include R&D Technical Services, Technology Transfer and Laboratory Testing Services. The ITDI E-Payment Portal is designed in modular so that it can be easily adopted by other government agencies. As of 2021, the ITD E-Payment portal is implemented by two agencies of DOST, the MIRDC and the PNRI, and currently implementing it to several other DOST agencies. ITDI aims to onboard all DOST Agencies. The E-Payment Portal is connected to the Cashier information system in which technical services fees paid are being paid through electronic payment. Upon successful transaction, all connected applications are automatically updated in real-time to inform the cashier, accounting section and the laboratories about the status of payment of a certain transaction. The fees collected via E-Payment mode are automatically remitted to the Bangko Central of the Philippines through Land Bank of the Philippines daily remittance processing. The system is able to capture, process, store, and retrieve transaction records of E-Payment fees. |

On March 21, 2024, the ITDI GAD Focal Point System conducted a "Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines Training Workshop" at the STD Conference Room. Dr. Janet F. DOST-ITDI Participated in the DOST-Wide Kick-Off of the National Women's Month
On 01 March 2024, DOST-ITDI participated in the DOST-Wide Kick-Off Activity of National Women's Month. DOST Secretary Renato U. Solidum Jr. led the opening program. Various activities organized by the DOST Central Office were actively participated in by ITDI employees, such as the parade, wherein colorful floats designed by the attached agencies were displayed. Attires developed and produced by DOST-PTRI were also presented during the event, and the highlight of the event was the DOST GAD Bazaar, wherein various SETUP beneficiaries showcased their products. |

DOST-ITDI 18-day Campaign to End VAW 2023 Culminating Activity: Open Mic Concert 2.0
Last December 12, 2023, ITDI staffs participated in the Institute's Culminating Activity of the 18-day campaign to End VAW, organized by the ITDI GFPS TWG led by Deputy Director for ATS, Dr. Zorayda V. Ang. Representatives from each ITDI division sang songs of their choice as they performed gracefully in front of ITDI personnel. The event was made more festive because of the Christmas caroling performance of the Canossa-Tondo Children's Foundation Inc. Rondalla Choir. |

Quarterly Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation of ITDI Ongoing GAA Projects for 2023
The aim of the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation is to assess the gender mainstreaming targets vis-à-vis accomplishments of the project using the set of criteria based on the Planning Implementation, Management, Monitoring, and Evaluation (PIMME) checklist. The use of the PIMME checklist aims to ensure the sustainability of gender mainstreaming during the implementation up until the completion of the project. |

DOST-ITDI GAD holds food and personal care products training series for Taguig City Diocese
The ITDI GAD Training/Capability Building Program featured several livelihood training courses on food including calamansi processing, coco lumpia and coco lumpia-burger production, ham making, and liquid handwash and hand sanitizer production. It aimed to provide select stay at home housewives and other womenfolk, youth, and other groups of the Taguig City Diocese knowledge and skills to enable them to startup or expand small businesses at home. |

Honoring the Solo Parents of ITDI
Distinguished keynote speaker, Mr. Philip Amiel Lopez, Planning Officer lll from the Commission on Population and Development and member of the GAD Resource Pool, gave the talk about solo parenthood. Mr. Lopez expounded the context of the RA 8972 or the Solo Parents Welfare Act of 2000 and its implementing rules and regulations, before defining what and who a solo parent is. He then gave a comprehensive explanation on the provisions for solo parents, in which he highlighted the provision of the solo parent ID, the documentary requirements needed, and the process for application. Mr. Lopez also gave a short overview of the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act. |

Two keynote speakers from the Women Business Council Philippines (WomenBizPH), an advocacy group composed of the country’s top women business leaders and entrepreneurs, which seeks to promote women-led and women-owned enterprises through networking and through the use of technology, were invited to deliver the requested topics. Ms. Mylene Abiva, chairperson of WomenBizPH, discussed how Innovation and Market Participation Transform Women's Lives. |

Gender Sensitization of DOST-ITDI Ms. Christine De Leon, a Local Government Operations Officer VI of DILG-Bulacan, and a GAD Resource Pool Member (GRP) recognized by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) gave the talk about Gender Sensitivity. In her presentation, Ms. De Leon differentiates gender equality from gender equity. She also discussed the transition of Gender and Development to Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), which addresses different needs, perspectives, and experiences of women, men, people with disability, elderlies, ethnic minorities, and other socially excluded people in all aspects of program and policy assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation. Ms. De Leon also discussed the governing policies on children, seniors, and persons with disabilities. |

Talking About Fatherhood at DOST-ITDI As part of the celebration of Father’s Day last 19 June 2022, the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI) Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (FPS), led by Deputy Director for ATS and GAD FPS Technical Working Group (TWG) Chairperson, Dr. Zorayda V. Ang, has organized the Webinar on Paternal Care on 30 June 2022, via Zoom teleconference platform. Attended by 78 staff of the Institute, the webinar was dedicated not only to the patriarchal figures in ITDI, but also to single parents who diligently raise their own child/children and act the dual role of mother and father. |

Online GAD Training: The Law and IRR of the Safe Spaces Act Last 1 April 2022, Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) conducted another online GAD training entitled “The Law and IRR of the Safe Spaces Act”. Five (5) GAD FPS members including the GAD FPS TWG Chairperson Dr. Ang, had attended the 3 hour training where they learnt the Implementing rules and regulations of the law, and forms of Gender-Based Sexual Harassment. |

Online GAD Training: Allocation, Utilization, and Audit of GAD Budget During the Women’s Month Celebration, the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) conducted an online GAD training entitled “Allocation, Utilization, and Audit of GAD Budget (17 March 2022)”. Two (2) GAD FPS TWG members had attended the training, where they learnt about the audit of GAD budget in accordance with pertinent laws, rules, policies and guidelines set by the government. |

Ang kicked off ITDI’s annual National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) on 1 March 2022. As the ITDI commemorates the Women’s Month, ITDI GAD provisioned women’s month themed souvenir items (t-shirt, alcohol spray bottle, and face mask) to all ITDI employees regardless of employment status. These items was used throughout the month that signified the Institute’s adherence to the campaign. |

ITDI GAD Strategic Planning Workshop 2021 Last 7-8 October 2021, The ITDI GFPS conducted a Strategic Planning Workshop for the ITDI GAD Plan and Budget (GPB) for 2022 that were participated by the GAD TWG members. This is the first time that strategic planning was applied to the preparation of the GPB. The TWG members revisited the Institute’s mission, vision, goals and core values. |
