OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR FUNCTIONS

  • Plan, program, coordinate and supervise the activities of the Industrial Technology Development Institute (ITDI);
  • Establish linkages with local and international bodies as part of resources generation and enhance program;
  • Perform direct supervision of the standardization and  conformance  activities of the Institute; and
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Secretary, Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

 

OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR FUNCTIONS

  • The Office of the Deputy Directors (ODD) assists the Director of the agency in leading and facilitating the development of divisions under Administrative and Technical Services (ATS), and divisions under Research and Development (R&D). The Deputy Director also assists the Director in maintaining a productive, diverse, and engaged workforce.

 

The ITDI is among the instrumentalities that laid the groundwork, in the early years, for S&T in the country. Today, it is one of the DOST's RDIs (research and development institutes) and undertakes multidisciplinary industrial R&D, technical services, and knowledge translation or technology transfer and commercialization. ITDI harnesses know-how in new technology and product innovation, and through the years, has emerged as a credible and reliable industry and government partner in accelerating growth and development in the country.
